The connection between Mareena and Connwax has always been close. She's played Trakt 1 several times at our event at Institut fuer Zukunft. We are all the more pleased that she was able to record a podcast for our Selected series, because Mareena's as busy as ever despite closed clubs.
She has just released her first album together with Leisure Systems JakoJako, is working on her own ambient imprint UNRUSH and has recorded sets for renowned platforms such as Groove and HÖR.
In the summer, there will be a release on Tresor Records (also together with JakoJako), the club's label where she's held a residency for many years.

Next to spinning records Julianna is involved in pushing various intiatives, taking part in collectives and organizing events. The musical activist and co-ounder of DOCE record shop is known for an exquisite and versatile selection selection that often crosses genres. With her platform Nótt, she focuses on the role of women in the latin american music scene, bringing attention to all the work that still needs to be done. Fiedel joins our series this week paying homage to early influences such as Kraftwerk and showing variety in his collection connecting electro and breaks throughout with purpose and energy. "As a music lover, I enjoy different kinds of music. As a DJ, I didn't play only techno throughout my career but several different styles. For the Dimensions podcast I wanted to lay the focus on broken beats. It turned out to be a mix of electro, breaks and d'n'b." 

As a producer, Fiedel has releases on Ostgut Ton and launched his own Fiedelone and Super Sound Tool labels and explains a little about the next release: "For the upcoming release on Super Sound Tool I chose one track by Brazilian born and London based producer Vinicius Honorio, which has a rather ruff electro-ish and funky touch. In my eyes it works well as a tool to combine different styles or in a pure Electro or Breaks set."
