Soma launch a new series dedicated to the latest in up and coming techno talent with the Collective Process Series. Volume 1 sees some of the brightest starts to come from Glasgow’s burgeoning scene as local DJ/producers Lisaloof, Neoma & Kairogen debut on the label. Joinging them is one of the UK’s most most revered producers and mastering engineers Joe Farr and Leeds based rising star Balrog. 

With techno firmly at the forefront of this series, Joe Farr’s ‘Beaky’ opens the EP with relentlessly twisted synths and hard hitting kicks. The fast paced spacial yet rave infected sounds of Neoma’s Abducted continue the release’s momentum as Balrog’s Tokyo Drift gives a fine insight in to modern UK hard techno with blistering drums and fierce energy. Next up, LISALÖÖF’s jacking ‘Down The Vaults’ punches hard but remains deep and hypnotic. Closing out the EP, artist and producer Kairogen lets you drift away into glacial pads and ethereal ambience with her downtempo track ‘Mineral’

Glasgow based record label delivering deep and atmospheric techno in digital and vinyl mediums.

as a producer, her releases on soma, space textures, orbitando, and systolic have explored the deeper, atmospheric side of techno and ambient, balancing intricate sound design with hypnotic rhythms.

this same approach extends into dub series, a project originally founded with long-standing late collaborator niamh jobson and now co-hosted with danny greenman (dj greenman), focusing on dub techno and its influence across other sub-genres.

in 2024, she launched 313 connection at la cheetah alongside glasgow selector undercurrent, a night dedicated to the deep connection between detroit and glasgow’s underground. though new, it has already cemented itself as a key fixture in the city’s scene.

beyond djing, kairogen is deeply embedded in the scene, freelancing across lighting, sound, label artwork, and bar residencies, all while keeping a strong connection to the wider club community.

a resident for both epika, the all-femme edinburgh-based collective, and london’s sisu crew, she moves between a wide spectrum of sounds—whether it’s the melodic side of techno, electro, house, or ambient.

with a passion for playing with emotions and creating a sense of togetherness through sound, she crafts sets that feel immersive, intuitive, and deeply connected to the dancefloor.
