Here's a mix from the year 2000, recently rediscovered in an old CD wallet.. The cover is missing (for now) so please enjoy this picture of two kittens having a cuddle while I try to sort that out.. 

Expect fast mixing, high tempos, dirty ghetto house tracks from Chicago, plus some slick Detroit electro.. Some explicit language and sex themes, so warn your neighbours when you play this really loud and dance around your living rooms for what I hope will be just about the last goddam time..! 

We're on a road to nowhere in Melbourne, still, and it's time to get those nightclubs and dance floors happening once again.. But for this weekend at least, hold onto your hats and shake your motherfucking booty..!

A few years back, my buddy DJ Askew told me that he had found an old mix tape of mine on cassette, which he’d digitised, and he asked would I like a copy.. When I recorded the mix in 1997, I did make a couple of copies for some friends, but I had long since lost mine.. So I was very excited to hear it again.. 

There are two mixes which just about fill each of the 45 minutes sides.. I recorded these one day in our St. Kilda apartment, using vinyl I had bought from record shops in Prahran.. The music was 100% Moodymann tracks, all realised prior to Shades Of Jae.. The A-side is pretty mellow, but the B-side really gets going..
