Coming in hot for number 95 is Beriln-based Elli Acula, delivering a groove-infused mix of banging techno. Apart from her mixing capabilities behind the decks, Elli also delights crowds her own productions and is part of the infamous Spandau20 crew, known for their commitment to the music and their quality output. This mix is a bit special in the sense that it was recorded during the livestream we hosted in the Allianz Tower with a truly breathtaking view of the Berlin skyline. Elli matches the gorgeous view with an equally gorgeous mix, so feast your eyes and ears!

BCCO Podcast 95: Elli Acula

Started this game a few months ago (haha read: Laure Croft presents tune raider) and I am super excited to share the recording of the set I played on my first gig. Never recorded anything, so hearing my own set for the first time myself was quite an experience! Also playing this first time on big sound system and having these new types of nerves and adrenaline rushing through my body, lead to some challenging moments during the set. I decided to post it, even though there are some minor mistakes in it, but hey, every game starts at level one. 

Would love to hear what you think of the set, and fyi: I’m a big fan of honest feedback.

The REC series compiles outstanding performances recorded in the club throughout the year, highlighting artists representing our love for electronic music.

Stranger is our third REC’ series protagonist. Spiritual father of Rotterdam-based label Self Reflektion, he has released names like Deniro, Rove Ranger or Vil in the past recent years, making his imprint a recognized and sought-after creative platform. 

After a boiling hot night at Fuse in summer, there was no doubt that it was necessary to release this techno testimony. The Dutch’ set is beautifully hard to recap, as his performance was a real trip in a psychedelic fair. Without concession, Stranger carries you from one ride to another: embrace the neon light and feel the aerodynamics of this pure talent.

Nene H has been hailed as one of techno's most strikingly singular artists. In the studio she mixes up her passion for folk and religious music as well as bruising club sounds with layers of spirituality, found sound and analogue aesthetics. Despite only first getting involved in the scene in 2015, she is already at home at places like Berlin Atonal, either playing live or laying down a DJ set, and also has a masters in piano.

As a DJ she can often sound quite different to how she does in the studio: her mix here is hyperactive affair that will well and truly kick start your 2020 with brutal drum patterns and twisted electronics that take no prisoners. There's also distorted techno rap and malfunctioning club music tightly woven together in a light speed mix that somehow packs all this and more into just one hour.
