Will be her debut show at Operator Radio - online radio station and cultural platform based in Rotterdam. She serves fast-paced melodic rhythms with a fragrance of hysteric surprises. Don’t be surprised by some heavy kicks layered with trippy grooves. Due to covid-19 her club gigs were unfortunately cancelled, but hopefully August will bring her brighter days.

Berlin-based DJ and producer Amotik has been making waves since moving to the city in 2014. Known for his driving, energetic, and atmospheric sound, he’s established himself as a force in modern techno, both behind the decks and in the studio. His self-titled imprint launched in 2015 with a series of EPs, leading to guest spots on labels like 47, BPitch, and Figure.🔊

His debut album, Vistār (2019), and follow-up Patanjali (2022) received acclaim from Mixmag and Groove Magazine, who recognized him as one of their top 30 producers for 2022/23. 2023 marked the launch of his label AMTK+, a platform for artists that inspire him.💫 With appearances at Berghain, De School, Fabric, Fuse, Khidi, and Printworks, Amotik’s reach continues to grow. 

His SPND20 Mixtape marks a return to his roots, diving into house music—a rare mix under the Amotik name and his first official house release. It’s packed with tracks he used to play, even including one of his own early productions. Though he doesn’t often play house, recent closing sets at Panorama Bar have shown his range, and this set brings that energy home, recorded on 3 XDJ1000s + Xone96 mixer. Blue Hour doesn’t need much of an intro, since 2013 the Brightonian DJ, Producer and label head has built a reputation for quick-witted techno and spread his sound at viral pace. The whys are evident, through the years Luke Standing has walked a road from a love of UK dance music genres  (and associated incursions under the monikers Furesshu and Esoteric), to full-bore and masterfully cut techno. When he called the UK home, fate inevitably pulled him into Berlin’s orbit, a place he’d often visit to get his musical fix, and for over a decade it’s been his new nest. He’s come into his own here, working hard (and playing hard) to build a sturdy vision that’s evinced through bookings, releases and close contact with names like Dold, Alpha Tracks, Scandinavian trance collective UTE and Philippa Pacho (with whom he runs forward-thinking  sublabel positivesource). His work, and everything his eponymous label puts out, is stimulating and high order, hedonic techno made for the big room that assuringly cuts all felt spatial and temporal bonds. Smouldering loops that reference his love of 90s rave, and pull equally from IDM, breakbeat, acid, trance and UK bass, furnishing a signature style that’s bullet-fast and unstoppable. Bassiani Podcast 245 is an hour-long studio-recorded spell to the tune of his trademark euphoria. Sweaty beats made for dancing well up to and beyond the blue hour.

Ahead of this weekend’s Bassiani booking, Berghain resident Fadi Mohem delivers a masterful blend of large scale rhythms for Bassiani Podcast 247. Raised in the leafy suburb of Spandau, the native Berliner always had the very best of nightlife within easy reach: exposure to drum ‘n’ bass, Detroit, the dubby incarnations of Basic Channel and IDM meting out references for a personal distillation of sound that saw him go from techno acolyte and sound engineering student to folk mainstay in just a few years. A stint at cult vinyl purveyor Hard Wax and the tutelage and encouragement of Ben Klock (they met in 2016) have permeated his work even further. From his alma mater to Dekmantel and beyond, his is a lexicon comprised of rhythmic loops and heavily stylised snarls that ripple, echo and penetrate the body; a catalyst for mental and physical experience that’s forward-looking and deeply intuitive. This latest one’s a 92 minute compilation of Mohem’s favourite sounds, an avatar for his high-concept sonic palette, assembly line beats from this nonpareil Berlin selector.

@oscarmulero is one of those artists whose sound is immediately identifiable. It has had an unwavering depth, headiness and atmospheric richness to it for more than 30 years, which is a remarkable achievement few can match. A famous non-conformist, the Spaniard's top-tier three-deck mixing skills and ability to distil techno to its most hypnotic form have also long stood him apart, as have his Polegroup and Warm Up labels.

Mulero's consistency of sound means you know what you're going to get with this mix: spaced-out, layered and deep techno brilliance. Whether more dubby and roomy or glitchy and intense, it's music for both mind and body from one of the scene's most low-key but high-class veterans. Turn it up loud and look forward to more of the same when he plays at Dekmantel Festival later this year.
