This sad and devastating local story has been on my mind for a long time.... I'm reminded about this tragedy nearly everyday as I run along the Mississippi Blvd and see the memorial.

The second song to be released under the name ‘Continental Collision’ but this time with special guest and good friend Dave McKeown. Rodolfo first let me hear the original basis for ‘Boring Town’ back in June, yet somehow he didn’t sound excited about it. However from the first I knew it could be great. I was looking for the story in those two words as well as in the mood of the music and fortunately it came quite quickly and fitted like a glove. Singing this was a challenge for me, like everything we do, but it was exhilarating. I had introduced Rodolfo to Dave’s cloud and it felt right that we should ask Dave to help us complete the song. I hope we will have the opportunity to work with him again soon.

A quaint and rather unusual cover of a great jazz standard, with me singing along with Suzuki on piano. It was Suzuki’s intention that our cover should be unique, not ordinary. I hope that we have succeeded in the intention.
Original piano arrangement is by Suzuki. The song was recorded in January 2023.

So excited to be releasing our latest original The Journey, with Dan van den Berg on guitar.  This one is extra special to me, not only because it again includes Dan's magical acoustic guitar playing on it, but also because a few weeks ago, while working on his parts for this tune, Dan decided to recreate the entire tune in a flamenco style using three guitar parts, and dedicated the music to me.  It was a huge surprise to me, and one that demonstrates the deep understanding Dan has for music,  his fondness for the passion of music and also for the friendship that we both share.  For our version here, Dan is once again performing on his gorgeous Joan Cashimira acoustic guitar. Now I know it’s getting legal
In a growing number of states.
Across the nation there’s a population 
Who think it’s really great.

But when it comes to can-na-bis
I have to say, “I can-not.”
'Cause when I do weed I’m guaranteed
To get dimmer than a 15-watt.

"Dude, you are really high."

So I ran back to my house again.

I went to the kitchen 'cause my belly was itchin’
For some junky no-good food.

I decided to cook three hot dogs
And I smothered them with Nutella.
My Mom, she caught me in the act.
She said, “What’s going on there, fella.”

The kitchen was a mess, my Mom was mad.
So I just went to sleep.
That’s the last time I smoked pot my friends.
