The idea for the song was a dog left tied in shed during a bush fire chewing off its leg to escape. The song was built over a couple of days beginning with the main bass riff. A couple of attempts at vocals on the chorus were discarded and an instrumental only chorus was settled on. 

I am always happy for feedback even if it is 100% negative. 

Thanks to some very helpful feedback a new version is in the pipeline with the vocal mix improved.

The Dog

It is a weird one, lyrically and in style. I had fun making it and trying something different with the vocal style and post processing on the mix. I was listening to Rob Zombies back catalogue at the time. 

The idea for Rat King character in this song is a shady, dirty chap who thinks he owns the seediest strip club.
