The Upload

A short piece I forgot about. I stuck a bunch clothespins in between the lowest strings of my MIDI piano and automated a percussion track, then just wanked over the top. Then added a some drums and acoustic bass in hopes that it winds up on "Local On The 8's".

DASTA presents SSP 2, featuring the musical stylings of - SickFlip, Midland Sparks, Disco Puppet, Sparkle & Fade and EchoFloat.

SSP (Six Sample Project) was the first initiative we took after coming together as DASTA. The concept was to ‘gamefy’ music making and give the participants restrictions in terms of time & sample usage.

For the second edition of SSP, we reached out to 5 prolific Indian producers to contribute a sample each into a shared folder and they had exactly 1 week to finish a song each using all 5 samples. Some of the samples can be heard quite clearly but some of them have been warped, stretched and altered beyond recognition.
