S.P.A.W.N presents - SPAWNcast. A divergent podcast series which is the crux of our channel. Showcasing music from the very best of the twisted musical minds from around the world, spawning their best tunes into a mix for us.

This edition features Pune-based artist; K-Ten.

K-Ten, an Indian techno Producer, and DJ, A passion for timeless, cerebral and
hypnotic strains of electronic music led to start his career as a DJ and Music
Producer. From there, Ketan began working intensively, experimenting with
different styles of Electronic Music viz. Ambient & Chill-Out and Techno to name a few. The combination of these styles has made him love
underground music.

The sounds he articulates act more as an extended role filling unoccupied space 
but characterized by a distinctive taste. K-Ten takes the listener on a journey, 
a balance between music for the dancefloor and music for the mind. 
His sets and his productions are usually defined by the deeper side of the spectrum of techno. 
His style and distinctive sound is liked by many and has also earned him accolades from some of the best DJs/Producers in the industry.

Emerging from a remote past, @akelarecs presents “Digital Escape” a compilation curated by label programmer Annika Wolfe. 

This collection introduces a diverse group of talented artists to the label, armed with 12 Electro-magnetic dance floor weapons designed to energize any crowd. Drumcell is a regular on Blank Code since it began in 2012, and this time he reappears for his second release in collaboration with the prominent Mexican artist Luis Flores, since their two-track outing called ''Flux'' in 2016.

Uun returns to his imprint Ego Death for its 7th release. The vinyl version is pressed onto a special marble red and black color variation created specifically for this release. The artwork is printed on a partially translucent vellum lithograph.

“The more things change, the more things stay the same. The progression of the digital space from a place where like minded individuals can get together over shared interests has gone the way of everything else in the modern world. There is money to be made after all, and data is worth more than gold. All around us are rent-seekers, hucksters, and those who seek to profit from what was never theirs.

Platform Decay is the beginning of the end result. Everything that is unique and interesting is being flattened for maximum palatability and consumption. It is what the advocates like to call content. We have given all of ourselves away, so that we can be advertised to. All to chase the algorithm; the black box where art, culture, and creativity enter and only an amalgamation of disparate nothing exits.

Atrahasis is the genesis, the original story, the prime instance of human creativity and storytelling. We sell ourselves sight unseen for the simulation of a social experience. You try to walk the tightrope between physical and digital but soon realize you can’t have both. However your engagement is up which is the upside of losing everything. Reaching into the past you finally realize the meaning of the lamassu, the double aspect. Only to be forgotten again as you are consumed by the ouroboros.

The project is made whole by the evocative artwork of Ryote, who brings the themes together in a unique visual style. The beautifully printed vinyl insert lithograph print represents the digital tomb of social media, with the label art depicting the mythological double aspect.”

Blending techno with rock and performance art, she's as equally at home collaborating with Surgeon, touring with LadyGaga, supporting Judas Priest and Iron Maiden or staging performances set to the music of Van der Graaf Generator.

Having racked up acclaimed releases on legendary labels such as Figure, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Ostgut Ton and Tresor - who are issuing her latest five track EP 'Capricorn Rising' on May 10 - she's earned a reputation for making tracks that hit hard on the dancefloor but also convey a deeper meaning and resonance.
