UNDERTALE: STORYSHIFT is a reimagining of Storyshift, set in a post-pacifist timeline of Undertale. Many years after Monsterkind had finally been set free, Alphys suggested to her friends that they all dress up as each other for Halloween, playing off the whole "dressing up as monsters" thing that humans were still prone to doing. A lot of them really seemed to like the idea. So much so, that a certain ghostly, theatrical entertainment robot would be inspired to write a stage play for him and his friends to perform in.

Chara is meant to represent Sans. They lack a physical form of their own, being soulbound to Frisk, so instead, a mirror is placed on stage. Chara speaks through Frisk. It's not confusing at all to any of the viewers.

Chara occasionally show up throughout Frisk's adventure to check in on their progress, as well as to simply have a chat. With their adventure seeming to near its end, Chara decides to take a moment to check in on Frisk again. With tensions getting higher and higher, Chara seems more willing to open up about things.

Do you wish to hear a story?

A story about SELF EXPRESSION.

A story about CHOICE.

A story about MOTIFS.

Yes?

Well so the story begins.

Long ago, there was a child.

And this child, was a creative mind.

And as most creative children, this child was misunderstood.

This did not stop the child.

It lived.

It grew.

But then it grew bored.

And it disovered something.

It discovered a lot of things.

But most importantly, it discovered a music sharing platform.

SOUNDCLOUD.

On there they found a beautiful world.

A world of USERS, a world of MUSIC.

A world of PEOPLE, creating, how they see fit.

But of course, such a large platform, it must be grouped somehow no?

We will be focusing on two groups.

Two groups who ended up not enjoying each others company.

The MOTIFLINGS and LISTENERS.

The LISTENERS did not find the antics of the MOTIFLINGS troublesome at first.

But it quickly became tiring.

So the MOTIFLINGS got excluded from the overall community.

The child stumbled upon the place where MOTIFLINGS roam free.

And so, the story begins, properly.

A child, a world and a lot of choices to be made.

They aren't your choices @you .

You are mereley a spectator.

The only choice that is yours is the choice to follow.

I hope you understand.

After a long series of not-yet-to-be-disclosed events, Frisk finds themself back in the throne room, ready to face off against Sans. All of the friends they made throughout their journey, however, show up to put a stop to the impending bloodshed.

During this, the flowers in the garden of the throne room... start to weep. Sounds of despair, sounds of hope. Sounds from across all of time, past, present and future.

Isn't there someone you've forgotten about?
