There are many different ways that the biosphere affects climate. Some produce greenhouse gases and promote warming of our planet through the greenhouse effect, while others reduce the amount of greenhouse gases promoting cooling of our planet. Thereby, by trapping heat, greenhouse gases contribute to our planet's warming and the biosphere provides the necessary environmental conditions for survival. And of course, Biosphere is the moniker of one Geir Janssen, who has been a constant influence on ambient music throughout his career. Fingers in the Noise - Ultimae Records Tribute (Podcast)

Métron Musik is very proud to announce the first in our series of world music mixtapes, and we've started somewhere completely out of this world.

Eternell is one of the many monikers of Ludvig Cimbrelius, a Swedish producer who works across a range of musical genres. It is also the name of his own imprint, through which he has released many of his own works and collaborations since 2012. Ludvig has put together a beautiful, heartbreaking and yet often uplifting 80 minutes of music for us in support of his new full length album ‘Life Will Set You Free’ (click 'Buy' to purchase the album). The mix revolves around an ambient core, with all tracks coming from the Eternell back catalog. I’m immensely proud to help promote such an inspired musical mind.

Hello dear people. Here is the 50th episode of the Stellar Series. Is it the beginning of a new era, as we recently entered through the new age of Aquarius ? Only the sky and the light can bring the answer. 

This one is from Kolya Kalpa, a producer and selector from St Petersburg. , He have released two beautiful tracks on the great @tehnofonika label, and some beautiful deep techno and ambient podcasts. The one he made for the Stellar Series is very evocative in his way to think and arrange music - deep in all circumstances, going through ambient and immersive techno with subtil and different kind of rythmics, evocating an enlightened journey between the sky and the sea.
