An equal-voice youth choir of vibrant versatility, the SPCP Chorale is one of the most awarded and notable high school choral groups in the Philippines. The all-female ensemble is set apart for their richly resonant and evocative interpretations of folk, ethnic, secular and liturgical music. Since its establishment in 1996 as the Music Appreciation Club, the Chorale has grown in its artistry and repertoire; earning accolades from various competitions, training with world-renowned choral clinicians and critics, as well as performing alongside virtuosos in the field. 

With Mrs. Sheila Marie B. Fetalvero as their conductor, the 30-voice choir has enthralled audiences with their young-hearted blend of symphonic sophistication for over fifteen years. Since 1999, their disciplined consistency has elevated them as one of Manila’s Top Three high school choirs in the Children’s Museum & Library Inc.’s ‘Voices in Harmony’ (CMLI-VIH) Competition; in which they also bagged the Balboa Award for Excellence in Music for their contest piece interpretation in 2007. Forward to 2011; where they made history by clinching three choral championships in one year, winning CMLI’s Voices in Harmony, UP Economics Society’s Musikapella and Resorts World Manila’s Night of Carols Competition – an unprecedented testament to their harmonic endurance as a group. 

The SPCP Chorale has been featured in performances staged at the Cultural Center of the Philippines and the Philam Life Auditorium with the Philippine Madrigal Singers; as well as the SM Mall of Asia Complex, Tiendesitas, The Medical City and Resorts World Manila for the Christmas festivities. 

The choir has also successfully staged concerts for their home crowd in St. Paul College, Pasig – Oui! MAC in Concert (2000), Prelude to 10 (2005) and Salute to 10, in 2006 as part of the tenth year anniversary of the choir. 

The chorale most recently emerged victors of the international choral scene, bagging a Gold Diploma Level III and a Category Championship title from the 2nd Vietnam International Choral Competition. The regional feat, held in Hue, December of 2012 was organized by Interkultur Germany, host of the World Choir Games. 

A rousing tribute to the musical talent of the Filipino youth, the SPCP Chorale stands proud on its mission: Inspired by the Charity of Christ and the Giver of Life, we share with the world our love of song, our heartfelt tunes of hope, of peace and dreams of a world united in music.
