Speach Impediments, also known as S.I., are an Award-Winning HipHop group broadcasting from Orange County, California. The group is composed of rappers Drewid, Syntax Vernac, Deezie, and DJ Zole.

It all began in the Summer of 2003 shortly after a near sold out show at the House of Blues in their Hometown of Anahiem. Now with well over 400 shows and performances under their belt, a catalog of collectively over 60+ recorded tracks from several indie/underground releases, and an upcoming album in the final mastering phase, it is safe to say that Speach Impediments are ready to be the next big HipHop group. S.I. provides energy and clarity. A true breath of fresh air in these polluted airways; something new. The vibe and style that is SI is true and original all to themselves, creating a brand which is represented by the intertwined SI logo tatooed on each member. The best part about Speach Impediments is that they don’t appeal to just street and hiphop culture purists. They’re able to appeal to fans young and old of all races, rich and poor, cool and nerdy, rockers and rappers, mainstream and underground. 

Their live performance is full of energy and true chemistry giving the audience a raw and authentic HipHop experience. They have shared the stage with many of their own inspirations such as Wu-Tang, Talib Kweli, Lyrics Born, Evidence/Dilated Peoples, Hieroglyphics, Canibus, Swollen Members, KRS-One, Pigeon John,Abstract Rude/ Project Blowed, Planet Asia, Kev Brown, and much more. SI has rocked stages large and small from the House of Blues (Anaheim, Hollywood and Las Vegas), The Grove of Anaheim (OC), The El Rey Theater(LA), The Oriental Theater (CO), to local bars and clubs. They were also featured on stages at Vans Warped Tour 2011 (Carson City and Ventura/Bring it Back Tour) and at as several stops for the Under Armour 3rd Rail Jam 2012. And when it comes to being independent, SI is all about the hustle which was shown on their very first indie tour “CO2OC” during the 2011-2012 Winter in which the group did everthing from booking, soundchecks, promotions and performing. They have new unreleased songs featuring the likes of Sabac Red (Non Phixion), Abstract Rude (Rhymesayers/ATU) and 2Mex (Visionaries) on their upcoming album. The group is also one of the few around who has a real live DJ as a main center piece of the group. DJ Zole isone of the top DJs in Orange County and is known to spin for many established and touring artists from Abstract Rude to 2Mex, L’Roneous, Project Blowed, and others to name. Other group accolades include their nomination for “Best Hip Hop Group” by the Urban Underground Honors Awards and for “Best Hip Hop” by the 2012 Orange County Music Awards and winners of the 2013 OCMA's for Best HipHop.
