Inspired by the German techno-minimal and micro-house school and deeply influenced by the sound of Eastern Europe, Simone Adinolfi is an eclectic artist who blends shades of several musical genres into a single minimal frame, always trying to keep the groove complex and consistent. After years as resident of many collectives in his hometown Milan he founded Sound Bakery in 2016, continuing to share the decks with some of the best artists of the minimal scene.

His versatility along with a constant music research took him to play in many countries around Europe and outside. In 2019 Simone gave birth to his vinyl-only label No Rush with the purpose of covering the multiple faces of his musical vision and creativity, releasing music from him and artists he values the most.  'Van Did & Arno Gonzalez' deliver a fine EP of underground goodness, while adding layers of melodies to brighten the overall appeal on the mighty Sudbeat who have been wow-ing clubland with an array of quality that shows no sign of let up.

Starting with the title track 'Vias', from the off, its intensity dictates that this serious slab of goodness is going to be doing the damage. Big dominating bass sounds lead the proceedings, while subtle dreamy edged pads, with nice crystalliser effects add a trippier vibe to this solid wondrous soundscape.

'Van Did' goes solo next with 'Relatii'. This romantic warm fantasy of sound meanders from daydreaming glistening moments to another with ease, like breath of fresh air for the dance floor.

And to round things off, the duo return with 'Kasepian'. A Berlin edged sounding gem, with its brooding bassline meeting whimsical sounds cascading into each other in an intoxicating marriage.

A man of immense production talent, Alexander Shtanoprud has performed a collage of audio mastery through his Mondkrater production pseudonym. Now returning to Proton Music, we are extremely proud to see Mondkrater and his "Icarus" EP takes flight.

As part of the successful duo Mode B, Mondkrater saw his work allied closely to Ryan Davis' Back Home and Klangwelt imprints while Particles also found home to the pair's work through the incomparable, "Siebte".

Branching out on his own through his Mondkrater name, the "lunar crater" definition is an apposite description of his work: "the mood of composition" and "the depth of sound". A burgeoning talent as a solo artist, Mondkrater's growing body of work has been allied to some of the finest underground techno imprints. Klangwelt and Traumwelten have been firm supporters with both the "Siberia" and "Roter Planet" twin-track EPs, while support has risen from such celebrated corners as Stephan Bodzin, Dominik Eulberg and Jimmy Van M.

May 2015's "Mercury" EP marked Mondkrater's debut original EP for Proton Music after a hugely successful remix of Silinder earlier in the year. As "Mercury" rose to new heights and pushed the Mondkrater name further into the limelight, the Polish producer now returns to Proton with a brand new three-track EP with his unique and polished sound firmly to the fore in a musical mosaic of rare quality driven by an unmistakeable Moog sound.

The title track itself opens proceedings in a musical triptych tied together through musical thread. A thick driving beat keeps metronomic time with ticking hats offering a subtle sense of urgency. Melodic phrases coruscate effortlessly as "Icarus" evolves, ultimately transcending into a new direction through repetitive riff that provides a hook to keep DJs and dance floors fully satisfied.

A beautifully shimmering arpeggio lies at the heart of "Phobia", filtering delicately into full view, surrounded by framework of relentless techno rhythms that provide a perfect accompaniment. Throbbing and pulsating analogue pads rasp enticingly across the stereo spectrum in LFO synchronicity in a track that oozes quality and production talent.

Final track, "Caliber", conjures up the exquisite melodic themes of its predecessor while a delayed bell riff provides a moment of syncopated joy as it plays with the space it creates in intelligent fashion. An acetylene-edged lead supplies a richly textured free-form melody in the second and third movements to create a work that fits expertly into the bed of 808-led rhythms and percussive joy.

Rising high with wings spread in full flight, there is little danger that Mondkrater will melt away as he takes to the sky with "Icarus".

Canadian label My Favorite Robot Records looks across the pond to Italy for one of its early 2016 EPs.
The act behind the three excellent track release is Speaking Minds, a duo that released on the label back in 2014 and have also put out music on Aeon Records. Simone Sinatti and Marco Paladin have very quickly won fans and acclaim around the world with their inspired and passionate DJ sets and artful take on club music. Here they prove that once more with richly crafted synths and expansive grooves aplenty.
The perfectly seductive 'Marathon' opens up the EP with the sort of moods and groove that would be perfect for a long late night drive. Neon synth lines snake along above a rooted rubber groove and grow more wild as thing unfold. It is the sort of hypnotic offering that really takes command of a dancefloor and never lets up.
A dub mix of the same cut is even more driven, some of the synth drones are stripped back and it is a more cerebral, spaced out techno roller as a result.
The third offering, 'The Last Step,' is another deep space affair with gorgeously designed pads circling round a spacious groove. It is a vast and atmospheric track that really transports you to another galaxy far, far way with its rainy melodies, moody drum kicks and arcing sense of narrative.
This is spine tingling, sensitive music that is epic and emotive in all the right ways.

The Essential Mix is a weekly radio show on BBC Radio 1 currently broadcast between 0:00 - 2:00 AM UK time on Saturday morning. Originally broadcast on 30 October 1993, the Essential Mix features contemporary DJs and music producers of electronic dance music. The show has been presented since its inception by Pete Tong and features an uninterrupted two-hour mix from a different artist each week, overlaid with occasional continuity announcements delivered by Tong. With a broadcast run in excess of 25 years, the Essential Mix is one of the longest-running programmes in the current BBC Radio 1 schedule, and is one of very few Radio 1 shows which is not broadcast live.

Speaking Minds is the musical project of Italian DJ/Producer Simone Sinatti, active in the international music circuit from over a decade as DJ, programmer and A&R.
Started as a duo back in 2012 with former member Marco Paladin which leaded to releases on labels like AEON or My Favorite Robot Records, Simone embraced the solo road in 2017 and some new roads opened for Speaking Minds: after his ‘Jupiter Express’ released on Correspondant, he followed up with “Blue Days”, track included on WhoMadeWho’s compilation for Watergate Records. Year continued with his return to mother label AEON with an EP accompanied with remixes by Fort Romeau and Moscoman, premiered via BBC1 Radio and gaining huge support all over the world. 2021 sees Speaking Minds releasing an official remix for Telepopmusik's classic track "Breathe" on Virgin Records and his biggest discographic accomplishment so far: a track on brand new Laurent Garnier's label Cod3 QR. Recent times seen him busy releasing music on Leipzig based well respected Riotvan label and for the legendary Live at Robert Johnson imprint being part of their 25Y anniversary. 
After a decade spent collaborating with some of most renowned brands in the industry such as Circoloco or Lattexplus, he decided to focus more on his own projects and his career as booking manager for several clubs and parties including Apollo Club in Milan or his very own +39 series. Being in the game for quite a while, dj highlights includes shows at Robert Johnson, Circoloco, Sunday Sunday, Extrema Outdoor, Movement, Village Underground, Bar Americas, Oasis Festival, ADE, Watergate, Shelter, Cocorico and Off Sonar to name a few, sharing also the decks with some of the most respected djs of the globe including Laurent Garnier, Seth Troxler, The Blessed Madonna, Palms Trax, Ben Ufo, Job Jobse, WhoMadeWho, Bedouin, DJ Tennis, Gerd Janson, Bambounou, FJAAK, Pantha Du Prince, Miss Kittin and Marcellus Pittman. His music has been regularly supported by the likes of Laurent Garnier, Dixon, Ame, Job Jobse, Jennifer Cardini and Mano Le Tough among others.
