En Chile, a Santa Claus le llaman el Viejito Pascuero. El Viejito Pascuero se viste igual que en los Estados Unidos: con una chaqueta grande, un cinturón negro, un gorro y unas botas grandes. La dificultad es que en Navidad, en Chile, es verano y el Viejito Pascuero tiene calor. Algunas veces no tiene problema porque está dentro del centro comercial, donde le toman fotos con los niños al lado de un árbol de Navidad. Pero otras veces está en el exterior y tiene que soportar altas temperaturas. El problema es que no hay un traje de Viejito Pascuero para el verano; es el mismo traje de invierno.
