For the 16th mix in our series, we're super excited to welcome Manchester-based DJ and producer Elsa. Elsa's varied sound brings together all the parts of her wide ranging music taste, blurring the lines between genres. This mix provides an insight into the hard hitting, progressive electronic sounds that position Elsa as a mainstay in the UK scene. You can catch Elsa repping for Sisu at Hidden Door later this year, whilst also finding her unbelievable production on Vief Records' latest charity compilation.

We are thrilled to present you with the next episode of our SoundCloud podcast series which is curated by Egg On Toast (@eggontoastmcr) who is a Uk-based creative. They started their DJ journey playing out in Tokyo’s underground clubs and have since made their way back to Manchester. 

You can catch them co-hosting on their monthly Steam Radio show Amplify, which steps out of the UK/US bubble and plays out tracks that have cultural significance or are just straight out bangers. Egg On Toast made their debut as a producer in January this year, releasing ‘Mirdori Blues’ alongside multiple up and coming Manchester talent. 

Aside from DJing, Egg On Toast is an aspiring documentary filmmaker who is currently working as a visual content creator for community radio station Reform Radio.

Music Loves Ohio is a nonprofit providing opportunities for financially underserved youth in central Ohio to pursue their passion for music by providing education sessions, after school programs, and instruments. The Knowle West Media Centre works collaboratively in the heart of South Bristol to develop creative models for achieving social change while supporting people to develop the skills and confidence to be change-makers themselves. Their programs include access to an innovation lab, makers courses, free professional workshops teaching tools used in creative fields, and various songwriting and music production resources.

Kicking things off is 'Make Them Shake’, a hypnotic and contorted expression of footwork with bubbling bass and drum FX - only for the boldest of dancers. ‘Polykarp’ comes complete with rugged old school hardcore chops twisted into a technoid stepper. 'Deep Insight’, is reminiscent of early Moving Shadow Jungle; hypnotic & minimalist with tight drums, glitches and jazzy late night moments. Closing track ’Before You Go’ is a breaks filled, garage-footwork workout; cheeky vocal cuts and rolling syncopated rhythms for your waistline!
