Sudbeat boss Hernan Cattaneo once again joins forces with his compatriots Oliverio & Baunder aka. Soundexile to bring us release number #025, the hauntingly beautiful, "Japanese Snowbell."   As if having the main man back in the studio were not enough, Hernan has also drafted in Jamie Stevens for a debut appearance on the label. The award winning founding member of Infusion, renowned for his uncompromising and intricate productions, reworks the melancholic deepness of the original into a wonderfully uplifting, roof-raising number.   The second rework comes from Sudbeat regular, Manuel Sofia. Bathing us in synth, the young Argentinian creates a tender yet euphoric vision of "Japanese Snowbell." The wintery feel of the original is replaced by the warmth of Manuel's sunrise anthem.

About the artist
LA-born and Berlin-based, Galestian’s roots in electronic dance music stretch back to LA’s underground music scene of the 1990s. He began making a name for himself on KUCI 88.9 FM in 2003, where he opened the studios to world-renowned artists such as Carl Cox, Dubfire, Above & Beyond, and Armin van Buuren.
His distinctive music style remains difficult to pin down, covering a wide spectrum of melody-infused genres like deep and progressive house, melodic techno, and beyond.

A royal triumvirate join forces in vivid "Colours" – European talent blends seamlessly with Alley founder as Anma, Mango and Aves Volare create a symphony of sonic colour. A metronomic beat and sympathetic rhythm create a sonic framework for a wash of rich tones to build layers of aural colour. Loquacious vocal phrasing floats across the soundscape to create its own liquid ink.

The bedrock formation of UK creativity and history blossoms into a riot of new colours through Luke Brancaccio and Colin Bennun. The dark aura of growling bassline mixes with subtle melodic phrasing to create a new tone. "I've got to find another way" provides familiar complexion against a palette of new ideas and sonic hues. A vivid array of colours evokes a new synaesthesia that flows from the Donets. Interconnected patterns glisten in the sunlight and refracted patterns create a vivid spectrum of colours from the fingertips of Arude. Everything Counts takes us on a deep-seated journey to the western coast of Africa. The coastal village
of Mbodiene is at the core and fora of this picturesque three-part series, started off by the Swiss duo’s
original mix. Half Toshka, half Chris Leon, Everything Counts render quixotic soundscapes, combining
Afro-infused rhythms, earthy percussion and tribal soul into electronic ambience, by grace of melody.
Calabria’s Matt Sawyers joins us and his longtime friends with a reinterpretation of Mbodiene. Teeming
with ethnic dreaminess and soothing progressions, Matteo Cacciola’s mix is a halcyon escape to indulge
our sonic reveries. Yielding a brusque, fiery take on the original, Mozambique’s Double Drop wraps up
MBR418 with a rawer Mbodiene - warm, impassioned and rooted in the rich, resonant grounding of our
mother continent. In this 20:54 minute flight, we dance our way to the destination, and alas, we can just
keep going there.
