You do not know how long the bombardment lasted. After the first 30 seconds, it all just felt like a never ending torment. You thought it would stop when all you had built was crumpled into dust, yet it persisted. You thought it would stop after it tore you apart into a billion microscopic fragments, yet it persisted. You thought it would stop once the dirt that once lay under you feet was all gone, yet it persisted. Only once there was nothing left but the billion pieces of your soul are left, will the barrage end. Only then will a new world be created, painstakingly crafted from all that remained, of you.
