This is an electric bass guitar plugged directly into a tube guitar amp with spring reverb. The amp was mic'd using a single dynamic microphone. The mic was terminated directly to a model 611-B Complimiter, followed by an M-502 PRO microphone preamplifier/equalizer. The signal was then recorded digitally at 48k 24bit. 

Vintage style Bass Guitar using a 611-B & M-502 PRO

This is a parlor sized steel string acoustic guitar being played in a finger picking style. A single small diaphragm condenser microphone was used to mic the instrument. The mic was terminated directly to a 611-B Complimiter in peak-limiting mode only. The signal was then sent to an M-502 PRO preamplifier/equalizer. It was then recorded digitally at 48k 24bit.
