The next-generation talent, the new sounds and spirits who are shaping and guiding our culture into the future; all together in a series that welcomes nothing but new ideas and perspectives.

Like a Spectrum of light itself, each edition will be a different colour, breaking down each element and wavelength that characterises, inspires and gives the label its unique identity.

It starts here with 'Green'. A forward-thinking place of freshness and new beginnings, home to an exciting range of talents both established and brand new and almost all new to Spectrum's ever-growing family. Stelios Vassiloudis, Amarone, Talal, gardenstate together with Hvitling and Yenzen, Carl Bee and Luigi Samby run the full dance floor gamut from heads-down hypnosis to rolling, unrelenting techno.

Tune-into the frequencies and expect nothing less than the full bandwidth as Spectrum unveil more colourways as we move into the future.

Mexican duo Sierra Madre is thrilled to unveil their first EP, "Cumbres". The collaboration project of producers @mijomijo and @colossiomx, offers a unique blend of techno and indie dance, influenced by the stories of Monterrey City, Mexico. The release includes a collaboration with @moiseesduro and a remix by Esprit Divers.

Inspired by the tragic events that took place in “Cumbres” neighborhood, the EP opens with the title track, a dark, hypnotic, and evocative cut. It is followed by "Cadereyta," the name of the prison where the perpetrator of the Cumbres murders serves his sentence. A cut featuring distorted synthesizers and a driving drumbeat.

Next is "Diego," the track in collaboration with Moisees, a sinister, powerful, and gummy jam. To close the release, Esprit Divers' “Cumbres” remix provides a powerful and introspective cut, taking listeners on a journey of groovy self-discovery.

I created this tribute to Dave Pad, one of the masterminds behind the Volen Sentir project alongside Anjei. 

Not only is Dave a talented artist and producer, but he's also the proud owner of the Forestrip Label and has released numerous tracks under his project Travertia.

Many people may not know that Dave has a vast collection of groovy deep- and tech- house music, both a remixer and original producer. 

In fact, Dave has been producing music in these genres long before Volen Sentir hit the charts. This mix showcases his lesser-known work, and I hope you enjoy it, even though it may be a departure from your usual style.

"My mix for Mixmag is really a journey through different sounds that I love that inspire me. I’ve been buying a lot of records recently, and really diving into lots of different sonorities. So there’s a lot of vinyls, my friends’ edits, but it takes you from one space and brings you somewhere. It’s got a club feeling but also a mix that can be listened to and enjoyed. I think it shows my range of inspiration – there’s my friend’s Afro edit that’s amazing, there’s a more Latin-type ‘90s record, there’s some acid, some house, some funk and then ends on a euphoric piano vibe."

For "Here Until Now", eclectic producers Luigi Sambuy and Kris Berle take a departure from the sound they are respectively are known for, blending influences from Omar S, Moodyman and Theo Parrish. The two have a lot in common, both being expats in the USA and Mexico. They both made strides in their respective scenes, organizing parties, hosting radio shows and writing music. The result is a balanced tool for the cross-genre DJ, blending elements of lo-fi, minimal and sample based 90s house music. The single will be the first self-release of both artists and will be out September 1st in occasion of Bandcamp Friday.

Luigi Sambuy and Kris Berle are two producers from Italy and Norway respectively. Their paths cross at Burning Man in 2022, after which they initiated a fond friendship sparkled by their love of record collecting and production. In November 2022 Luigi debuted a new concept of events in NY called "Metronome", for which Kris was the inaugural guest.

I made this originally in 2003. Was released on a compilation in Ireland in 2004. Then a reworked version came out on Supreme Records in 2006 (my first international vinyl release). I used to play this a lot in my live sets back in the day.
