Guru Recordings’ proud tradition of helping develop young and emerging producers comes to the fore once again on GURU022. This time, budding French artists Antoine Delvig & Gregori Hawk get the chance to shine; and shine they do. The burgeoning pair once again highlight Gregori Klosman’s impeccable A&R skills with “Gold, Diamonds & Money” a track that oozes a confidence and assuredness way beyond the pairs’ years.

The images conjured up by the words “Gold, Diamonds & Money” are in stark contrast to the dirty, gritty and unpolished sound that prevails on the track. There is no glamour here whatsoever, as thunderous synth lines crack over the top of pummeling beats and uncompromising bass. The tongue in cheek vocals are catchy and also help to build momentum following the melodic breakdown. In full-flight, this tune is an unstoppable club monster that tugs, pulls and pushes with every single sound. This is not for too cool for school VIP areas; this is for going nuts on the dancefloor!
