Puzzle Tessellation (Loop)

According to Adobe: Chromatic aberration, also known as color fringing, is a color distortion that creates an outline of unwanted color along the edges of objects in a photograph. 
For me, these distortions remind me of memory and my detached recollection of the past. Aberration leads to nostalgia and longing.

Device Disconnected

About a few months ago, probably around the end of January into February, I started having really bad anxiety and stress that I just couldn't handle. It was so debilitating but I thought I was strong enough not to see a therapist. Instead, I sat down and wrote specifically this piece.
The birch forest imagery was something my eldest sister coined, and it stuck with me. Though, the dissonances and melodies were more so written to depict pushing forward even though there's a strange feeling in your chest telling you everything is wrong.

I wrote this track for my friend's Bracky's Game Jam 2020.2 entry, ReColor. You can find that game here: foopis23.itch.io/recolor.

What's with the name? Originally, it didn't have one. I wrote it specifically to be a soothing BGM while solving mind-boggling puzzles. But the more i listened, the more it reminded me of days at college when I'd go to the library between classes, head up to the third floor (where it's quiet), find a chair next to a window and relax. If you've never been to your college's library before, I highly recommend it. 10/10. Best place to take a nap.
