Our first premiere of the week comes from the emerging techno star, Shannen Blessing, as the talented young Irish DJ and producer provides us with her debut track 'J015M' to premiere this afternoon.

While relatively new to the Irish techno scene, making her debut in March of 2019, Shannen has progressed rapidly in Dublin and Ireland, supporting international techno DJs such as Lag, Introversion, Inhalt Der Nacht and Parallx.

Currently studying DJ techniques and music production in BIFE, with Doug Cooney, Sunil Sharpe and DeFeKT as mentors, it’s little surprise that we once again see another exciting young talent taking on the Irish techno scene with the confidence and skill set to match.

During lockdown Shannen has been busy sharpening her production skills, busy in the studio, culminating in an electric debut release which we premiere today. 

Expect an industrial, rolling techno track with arpeggiated bleeps making hypnotic undercurrents throughout which will no doubt fit in well in any DJs bag. You can listen to Shannen's track 'J0I5M' below, plus download the track for free via our SoundCloud page.

IZØTOPEV94, a collective previously set up as an event to highlight the rising talent in limerick, recent times have forced the collective to dabble in the digital world of music in an attempt to adapt to the society we find ourselves today. From live-streams to t-shirt releases and an ongoing mix series, IZØTOPEV94 has decided to take it one step further and curate its very own various artists compilation. Allowing artist from the V94 and beyond to flourish their music production skill that have been carefully crafted over the past few months. 


This groove infused V/A includes artists such as Chaz Moloney, Jon10, Prince Prada, Silky Klub and Taggy, all of which express their unique tastes in electronic music through genres ranging from House, electro, and techno with a hint of grime. 



Artist bio: JON10, Founder and resident of Irish collective @_izotope_ burst onto the Irish electronic early in the year of 2020. His style of mixing and producing is derived from 90s/early2000s techno, which is evident with the sharp cuts and thundering grooves found in both his music and sets. JON10 picked up music production earlier this year to embark on a quest to revive the sounds that once graced the dance floors many decades ago.

Incoming! We premiere a track from the forthcoming Kriminal Records Various Artist compilation, coming from Waterford based DJ and producer, Leafeater. 

Kriminal Records is run by the club night Subjective Series resident ‘Deano’, who is also one half of the techno duo, Diesekt. The labels aim is to help shine the light on Irish talent, with a focus on the darker side of techno, trance and acid.

The track we premiere is from Waterford based DJ and producer, Leafeater, who offers a peak time dance floor destroyer entitled, 'Gone Feral'. With releases on labels such as Sticky Ground, Decoy Records, Variance and most recently on HOME MORT, gaining international support from some of the very best in the business, including Rebekah, Xhin, MUMDANCE, Jerome Hill to name but a few.

The young selector has quickly garnered a name for herself within the Irish techno scene. Sharp DJ skills and a mature ear for selecting records have helped Shannen receive some high profile gigs since her club debut in 2019. Shannen has shared the stage with techno heavyweights such as, Lag, Introversion, Inhalt Der Nacht and Parallx.
