the meme of 'the 3 magi' developing through the passage of millenia

[if anyone wants to redo this somehow using  all or none of the elements, it would represent the fragmenting and re-interpretation / embellishing / layering of ancient texts..]

the second of the 3 traditional 'dreams of the magi' on the night before departure....

k'asper dreams of  faces he knew
who succumbed to their addictions

he dreams also
of an estate in the country
to retire from journeying
settle up &
settle down

k'asper will look with longing at a few 'here's' on the way
little places where the air is thick with atmosphere
where the guard drops
and it's sunset forever.....
perhaps he will go awol, and a replacement will appear to fill his place

perhaps no mention of a swap in the text (hell..that's good old ancient writing :)) bit of a 'paul is dead' thing, but with togas or furs :))
but later 'scholars' gush over this song as a coded reference to a lost soul on the road, who has been airbrushed out, and conspiracies abound !
the main bone of contention seems to be about whether kasper was autobiographical or simply storytelling in this little note, that created a ritual song, many hundreds of years later

k'asper is often known by the epithet 'dab'ani' in celestian myth, meaning 'he who strays from the way'

that's as clear as mud then, yeh ?

the 'magi in space' will find related documents and some audio sweeps to piece together 'what actually, actually happened?'....a popular 'meme' of the time

journey of the magi : k'asper : city of my birth

This is a song that began with Steve (Steve's Planet)writing, playing it on acoustic guitar, and singing it on a stem he shared with Ken (K2 and the Three [and Four]), who added some perfect drums, as always. Ken then shared it with me, who added bass, and Tez (Llanpsych), who added some brilliant, tasteful guitar fills. We then got JJ involved, and he added the great, undulating organ. Finally, we got the master chef involved, Chris (cgmaness), who came up with some killer guitar riffs and mixed the whole thing very expertly. It must've been quite a chore, too, because there are a lot of magicians in this show. We all really feel lucky that Steve shared this song with us, and admire his singing and songwriting. We hope you enjoy our creation!
