Part of 2012's "Laughing While Running (Part 1)" EP, Derek Howell provided a slice of progressive house heaven with "Laughing it Up" on Proton Music. Initially including a remix from Greek icon, Kassey Voorn, Yin and Yang now return to the track for a third and final outing, this time featuring remixes from Germany and Israel.

An artist constant at the vanguard of the commercial underground dance scene since 2007, MoodFreak is a name that has risen to the upper echelons of the industry. His work has regularly featured in the playlists and sets of such icons as Markus Schulz, Paul Oakenfold and Armin van Buuren, with over a century of production credits allied to such blue-chip imprints as Enhanced, Silk and Schulz's Coldharbour Recordings. Founding the YOMO imprint with the legendary Mike Koglin has also leant gravitas to the MoodFreak reputation. A Berlin resident, the German artist has found himself drawn to the city's edgier, underground sound in recent times, and it is with this sound to the forefront, that it is a delight to welcome MoodFreak back to Yin for the first time since a remix of Ioan Gamboa in early 2015. 

Thus, his remix of Derek Howell is a beautifully deep and rich interpretation that makes wonderful use of the rippling arpeggio and vocal cuts so central to the original. Evolving elegantly with new percussive groove and strong beat, a stripped back breakdown features a rasping analogue bass drone that resonates with Howell's work. A delightful reworking, MoodFreak hits the heights once more.
