Initially, the lyrics were inspired by an image of the sun going down, and subsequently a very dark but starry night. This then became a metaphor. There is always light no matter how dark it seems; there is always someone to guide a way out.

Waiting Game

Lyrically, the track itself reflects feelings of being trapped within the confines of your mind, but at a time where you are trying to reach outward and can see all that is possible, but at the same time struggling to feel that it could actually happen, could become real. An onward battle with how controlling and debilitating the mind can be.
