In Love (1998)

AEGIS Sonix was in my opinion a truly amazing achievement for a piece of home music software that was originally released in 1986.  It is a genuine polyphonic soft synth which could be played in realtime from MIDI running on a humble Commodore Amiga from a single floppy disk with no additional hardware required.

The fact that this works at all kind of amazes me but to see something offering a crude filter emulation, PWM, waveform drawing, 2nd & 3rd harmonics generation, envelopes an LFO and a phaser truly amazes me.   Yes its 8-bit, steppy as hell, and full of digital artefacts but to me that is half of its charm!

In this case Sonix V2 was played live via MIDI and just to keep in line with the humble nature of this setup I decided to record it through an ART MultiVerb LTX which is the first reverb I ever owned in my youth and one I still like to this day for its character and darkness.

Like breathing, improvisation is an unconscious flow from within.
Of course, one must understand the basics and have spent a good many hours building a tonal memory, but once one gets the knack of it, improvising, no matter what the instrument, is a Gift that keeps on giving. :)

As you tap into these inner autonomic cycles, you reach a Zone that's beyond anything you could consciously think of or plan. Like one's heartbeat, it's in tune with Life itself. It just happens. 

In any case...I love it when the Music is 'Floating'.......'Levitating' so to speak... not really going anywhere in particular, but tonally and rhythmically totally Present.  And... as we get better and better at finding the door to this experience, more and more wondrous music begins to manifest itself through us. it's almost as if we aren't even present.

Then the hard work of Arranging and Mastering begins!  :-D 

But be that as it may... for the Best experience of this one, I suggest you put it on Repeat at a Medium volume and let it go for 10-15 minutes.  it's sure to help you 'take a breath', become lost in peace, and relax deeply. :D

Supremacy (Tel Me More) W.I.P.  Update March 12, 2018

I worked through the entire weekend putting more and more things together on W.I.P. Supremacy... Also worked in, some of the feedback I got from several music friends (Thanks for that!)

I added the first addition of the recorded choirs (there will be more of that). In case you wonder? Yes, the voice is mine (dubbed as a choir many times over).

Still "missing" (intentionally):  The main lead arpeggio! /|/|/|
When they're there eventually, they will be eargasmic.
Save the best for last, right? xD
