A track quickly thrown together for a project in 2019. Recorded at JBJ Studios.

Having A Ball (2019)

A simple concept song quickly recorded on my mac, using just the built in mic - guitar and vocal, with some tracking (forgive the bum guitar strums). The song (Lucky Day) is the premise to Having A Ball – although the songs are different keys and chord structures. I felt Lucky Day was not commercial enough, so I changed it. Keeping the verse lyrics, but a with different chords and melody, wrote a completely new hook, and increased the tempo by 18bpm. Both songs have good elements in their own right, but I’m not entirely happy with either. I prefer the verse of Lucky Day and the hook of Having A Ball. Maybe I should create a montage of both, where the Lucky Day hook is the middle 8!

Lucky Day (concept track 2019)

Spencer began his passion of singing, songwriting and theatre at the age of 13. He began training with vocal coach Ian Adam at 19, whose clients included: Michael Ball, Elaine Paige, Michael Crawford, Boy George, and Marc Almond. Training regularly with Ian at his Knightsbridge studio until his death in 2007.
 
He attended the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts 1994-1997, the International College of Musical Theatre 2009 and has performed in numerous musicals, plays, concerts and cabarets.
 
As a singer songwriter, Spencer worked with producers and musical directors including; Roger Benou, Hilly Briggs, Matthew Freeman, Rob Nash and Mike Stobbie. Performing genres from, Theatre, Rock, Pop, Soul and Jazz in and around London.
