I stopped making music after the world's Covid response changed my life pretty drastically in a variety of ways. I'm finally starting to feel the groove again. This track was done in Garageband with some loops and sounds and the lyrics are meant to remind myself and anyone else who listens to this song that we're not alone and to stay groovy basically lol - I like putting uplifting reminders in music so that when I get it stuck in my head later it reminds me to stay positive. I didn't have the adaptor for my microphone so I just used my laptop mic to improvise - when your flow dies and you feel it spark up again - don't worry about getting everything perfect - just let yourself find the flow and dive in <3

Yeah I'm a cheeseball lol whatever. I'm going through some difficult stuff and maintaining mental well-being with music as one of my medicines. I'm not a traditional songwriter - I don't always go back into specific song structures - like there's no chorus in this because I literally just don't care right now lol - I just like to jam because it makes me happy and I use the lyrics to keep me centered. The lyrics in this song are about choosing to stay grateful in life even when it's getting you down - and finding what fills you with wonder and choosing to hold onto that while walking through the temporary icky parts of life. My soul feels more resilient when filled with wonder - and I'm filled with wonder every time I see the sunset for example - so - I'll be checking out the sunset to walk with wonder towards a life with more clarity and contentment. I'm gonna walk through the shadows with you (with wonder).

Who Am I?

You know how you can sometimes see shapes in the clouds? Similarly, sometimes I hear music in silence or in white noise or subtle sounds. I've always felt angelic presences around me and I like to think the music is from them :) This song is an attempt to portray that music that keeps me intrigued by the mystery of this existence.
