Returning to Toolroom Trax with another huge release is Tim Baresko, who lands back on the imprint label with ‘Llego La’. A DJ who has been making the rounds for a minute now, from guest mixing the latest Toolroom House Party album over the summer to releasing banging club tunes on label such as Armada, Defected, Sola & Solotoko to name a few, Tim Baresko has done it all and his latest release is testament to this.

With strong Latin vibes resonating from ‘Llego La’, Tim Baresko drops an intricate mix of percussive tropical esque rhythms and deep sub bass, laying the foundations for the track. Layered on top is a unique flute melody that flows and ebbs throughout the record, along with a sultry vocal melody that’ll echo around your head hours later.

If that wasn’t enough, Mark Knight is on remix duties on this one, bringing his signature club ready sound to the track, turning the heat up and getting the party started. A solid groove and a fresh cut of Tech House goodness, this is a no brainer if you’re a fan of Toolroom Trax! ‘Llego La’ is an essential add to your libraries.

That’s right, Toolroom Trax has officially reached it’s 200th release! And with it, Sllash & Doppe get lost deep in the jungle, dropping their Trax heater ‘African Vibe’. 

Firm labels favourites for sure, Sllash & Doppe are veterans when it comes to dropping banging House tunes. From records such as ‘Aguella’ to remixing Mark Knight & D. Ramirez’s ‘Colombian Soul’, the Romanian duo definitely have a unique vibe with their sound, opting for more natural, real world sonics mixed with their signature Tech House grooves.

‘African Vibe’ is follows this trend, another signature banger from Sllash & Doppe who withoung skipping a beat, kick off with a ferocious percussive loop along with an equally fierce bass line that’ll no doubt get you moving. The duo also throw in a few wildlife noises and FX which are reminiscent of the African plains. The tracks main feature though, is its rolling steel drum melody which hits fade in and glitch out as the records temperature reaches its breaking point. Before you know it, Sllash & Doppe have dropped back into that infectious bass groove, rounding off the track and signing off the latest Toolroom Trax release.

UK DJ/producer Latmun will add another string to his bow this February as he launches his first label project, Lateral, marking and celebrating his eighth year as an artist. A firm fixture of the global circuit with appearances at venues including DC10, Amnesia, Printworks, Club Space, Hï and Warehouse Project, his sets for the likes of Music On, Paradise and ANTS have seen his profile surge since breaking through. Having released music via a long list of renowned labels across his career, including Hot Creations, Solid Grooves, Relief, Sola, Repopulate Mars, Mindshake and elrow music, the launch unveils a project which has been a long-time in the works - kicking things off in style with his new single, 'Just Play', with further material scheduled throughout the year ahead...

'The first release on Lateral has been a long time coming, but finding the right track has been challenging as I wanted it to reflect correctly what the label is about. Opening via a snaking bassline and crisp drum shots before building into a driving anthem armed with skittering, warped vocal samples, 'Just Play' is an impactful and mischievous cut shaped for the peak time, revealing an impressive first glimpse into the future direction of the label.
