Bucharest-bred/Amsterdam-based Teo is all about nuances and textures, codes and systems, envisioning the many shapes of abstract gaming.
Taking inspiration from art house movies and 2000’s pop culture, his music reflects on potential social problems and human challenges. The particular feeling of being lost within yourself, in a perpetual quest of finding your own truth and a better understanding of your own self-consciousness. This is not your random journey, but a proper movie put into sounds, with a very strong fictional narrative and cinematic feel.

It is by pressing play on the fourth installment of event collective Likeminded podcast series that we got introduced to Koen FM's very unique musical universe. We immediately wanted to hear more from him and his collection of records. 

Koen is a Montessori primary school teacher based in Amsterdam. Besides being a teacher, he has been collecting electronic music for +/- 15 years and DJ’ing every now and then.

Talking about his selection for this podcast, he shared the following with us: "I’ve always been fascinated by cosmic, dubby, ambient, techno and downtempo sounds like you could hear on MTV chill out zone back when I was little. Although I do check new stuff that comes out, I mostly like to dig through records that come from the ’90s. This mix contains a bit of both, older and newer tunes. Some digital and some vinyl records."

Koen does not often record podcasts, and we are super thankful to have his contribution for our series. He once again opened up the doors to his psychedelic, cosmic and very cinematic music selection, offering the Polychrome Radio its first downtempo podcast, and a simply superb recording.
