Arqade first appeared on our radar after being one of the winners of the remix contest we hosted on the FinishMoreMusic platform last year, which led to the release of his interpretation of 'Witcher' by Kakura on Manual Music.

Shortly after he showed us this song, Analogue Sky, and we were instantly impressed with this beautiful piece of mature and intelligent melodic electronica. Pure IDM right here, and a perfect match for our Manual Deep label!

This week we welcome my good friend Pepe Rubino to the show for episode #78

Bio:

Pepe has started his musical career back in 1994, deejaying from 1995 till 2009, for private reasons, he quit playing in clubs, but he could never stop his passion of music !!

However, Pepe then started his comeback in 2016 and plays occasionally in clubs again. But not alone anymore , by his side , his Mate , Steve S.

Depth Perception Sessions #78 - Pepe Rubino

Jon Towell arrives on Hexagonal with his uplifting and hypnotic Progressive House blend to present the "Trancoso" EP. As an artist with an innate understanding of the dancefloor, Jon delivers the EP titled opener 'Trancoso' with soaring basslines, crispy drums, and rolling synths that enthrall you into the breakdown. Once there, the growling bass drones keep you on tenterhooks until the epic drop. There and Back' continues the theme of the EP with drums that entice you from the start before the stabby basslines and accompanying synths build to a delicious breakdown with vocal glitches working in sync with beautiful arps. Again, Jon delivers an epic drop that will delight the dancefloor. Finally, 'Conclusion' glues the EP with a sumptuous rolling bassline, glitchy vocals, moving FX, and dreamy synths. A track of reflection is a combined workout for the body and mind. Trancoso EP is a massive triple-header that is as relentless as much as it is a showcase of Jon's progressive prowess. Take advantage of this one.
