All riffs, drums and breaks are edited and played by ourselves, so the only samples used for the Code Red do-overs are a few voice samples. Sometimes we do ballads and dancehall love songs, but it's also nice to explore other musical realms and come up with something totally new and unexpected...

Dead Kennedys - California Uber Alles - Spicy do-over 130 bpm

Once I decided to start remixes and/or do-overs of legendary rock songs I knew I better work hard and seriously to get good and serious results. No more clowning around.. This do-over of Thunderstruck took about 30 hours of concentrated work [and some fun as well].  It's actually a tech house kinda track, but I kept the rock parts for like 3.5 minutes before kicking in the bounce part.
I would like to mention once more that I rarely use musical samples for my remixes; only a few vocal cuts to spice things up, So in order to re-make those riffs and melodies I dig deep into my musical skills to come up with something that reflects the greatness and awesomeness of the original, while keeping it energetic and unique.

AC/DC - Thunderstruck - Spicy Waffles Do-Over 131 bpm

The original by the Scorpions has some amazing melodies and key changes. Quite a challenge to make a clubby remix of this one but as usual the result is a nifty piece of work ready to bounce any floor.

Since I'm from Holland I wanted to remix some Dutch bands as well.  I really love this track by Krezip so I took the challenge to do a bouncer of it. A huge challenge I might add. The song has some sudden changes, which I also implicated in the remix. I'm also making a more progressive version of this one with less sudden moves in it...

Good Grief has some loose Guns n' Roses like riffs and a few cool vocal samples. My remixes usually have long intros; the actual track starts after about 1 minute of rock/breakbeats.

The reel techno shit. Sometimes I wonder if I should be doing all my tracks in this style. I used to do pure techno in the pre-pc era but to showcase my talents and inspiration I got side-tracked doing many other styles. From now on I will keep it strictly techno because this style of house music I love the most. The remixes I do pose a huge challenge on the musical side, but tracks like this force the one who makes it to travel deep into the subconscious and make full use of all skills and creativity.
