Breakbeat VIP flip of an HSMG release from last year. The original was a deep Techno/ tech House type of track, and it was inspired by a fan letter I got from Cloverdale last year that said "I just want to make rave musi!" Well that was my direction and both versions came out pretty cool so I had to share them with you guys. Enjoy!😝

Summer Days

Hi everyone, This track is called predator because I sampled the clicking noise from "The Predator" movies as part of the percussion and it also has a kind of dark energy about it. I'm not really sure what sub-genre this falls into but hope you enjoy it. I tried to capture old school drum & bass sounds in a modern way. I also wanted to make the percussion a little different, which is why there is a predator clicking sound that pans right->left. I wanted it to feel like the predator was going past you. There's also a mini snare build before each bar in the intro, and offset drums at around the 6th beat in every 4 bars to give kind of a breakbeat feel. Anyway, I only spent about 7 hours on it so far so I didn't do a lot on the mixing/mastering yet. I was too busy fiddling with the call/response sounds and percussion and also instead of side-chaining I used volume automation on each kick but I used it in some places with no kick to give rhythm to the bass in places where there was no kick drum but ofc it took a lot of time to place the volume automations manually. This was made using oine shot samples from the official Noisia sample pack released after their last show, and also from Moonboy's chrome production suite. However, the samples were really only base sounds because resampled them and added various FX and automation, then I played them on my keyboard to create the melodies. I'll iterate over it at a later date to clean it up properly, the hi hats are too loud IMO, and there is some general 'muddiness', it needs some EQ/Compression etc. Anyway, hope you enjoy it. I started in Feb 2025 so I’m still learning and I have a low budget setup so please excuse my lower quality mastering and mistakes during my learning as I go… I’d say I’m bordering “tolerable” now 😂 some of my first tracks made a few months ago really are quite poor quality… the production, design, everything, but I’m leaving them here because I want to reflect on them in future in the hope I can hear some development or progress as I am determined to keep going. I want to make music that makes people dance and have fun, to spread positive vibes and good emotions.

I will keep trying hard to make things people love. I don’t make any money from my music it’s all purely for enjoyment of you, me and anyone who listens 😎

If you ever play my tracks in a DJ set etc then please send me video or link 🙏 I’ve never seen people dance to my music or it to be played anywhere.
