Hey guys, I was watching a documentary on space with Sir David Attenborough's voice and it struck me. Astronauts. Moving Slower.

This track actually has a hidden meaning... you may notice the 'time dliation' is refering to the tracks tempo changes throughout the main hook, changing from 172 bpm to 86bpm and back, the slowing down is signalled by "moving slower" vocal. 

Ok… I know it’s only a half time tempo change but I thought it made it fun to dance to with the moving slower bit lol.

I was also reading Sir David's reflections on his ~100 years living on the planet and acknowledging that he doesn't have much time left of this world. 

He was one of my childhood heroes, and I wanted to capture some of my emotional energy that I felt reading the article

I also felt sad as he seemed to imply humanity had slowly destroyed the planet before his very eyes.

It also made me think about time and how time can just pass you by, and entire lifetime, and that's signalled with the Astronauts returning to earth and years/decades having passed by.

“Circuit” begins in deceptive calm, with pleasant synth plucks and light, shimmering drums setting a serene, almost dreamlike tone. But just beneath the surface lies something darker. As the track progresses, it descends into a techstep-driven groove; razor-sharp basslines, precise percussion, and a pulsing sense of tension take over, evoking the gritty, futuristic energy of classic late-’90s techstep.

Midway through, the track takes a haunting turn with the introduction of a female vocal MC line, layered against ethereal, atmospheric vocal textures. The contrast between the grounded spoken word and the ghostly, melodic overlays adds a hypnotic dimension, enhancing the track’s sci-fi feel and deepening its cinematic scope. “Circuit” is a perfect blend of past and future - raw, techy, and unmistakably Ritual X.

Updated Not a Sandstorm. Inspired by some random dude shouting “SANDSTORM!” over a light breeze like it was prophecy, while his girl yelled “It’s not a sandstorm.” That back-and-forth was turned into a song.

I’m an app/web developer by trade. I’m hoping to invest more into my music in the future when I have more time 🙏

I started in Feb 2025 so I’m still learning and I have a low budget setup so please excuse my lower quality mastering and mistakes during my learning as I go… I’d say I’m bordering “tolerable” now 😂 some of my first tracks made a few months ago really are quite poor quality… the production, design, everything, but I’m leaving them here because I want to reflect on them in future in the hope I can hear some development or progress as I am determined to keep going. I want to make music that makes people dance and have fun, to spread positive vibes and good emotions.

I will keep trying hard to make things people love. I don’t make any money from my music it’s all purely for enjoyment of you, me and anyone who listens 😎

If you ever play my tracks in a DJ set etc then please send me video or link 🙏 I’ve never seen people dance to my music or it to be played anywhere.

UPDATE: Moonboy played a track I made for a competition in his live stream which was the first time my music was ever played like that 🙏🙏 Thanks everyone
