I Scoured up some long lost mix tapes (REAL cassette tapes!!) recently - from waaaaay back in my very early DJ'ing days (last century stylee, c.1990..something!) when I was a certified and dedicated hiphop n vinyl fiend. Turns out I unearthed a working tape deck too - so decided it was definitely time to digitise these puppies so they didn't get lost forever. 

PLEASE NOTE: Mixing and sound quality may sound a little rough (especially so on the earliest ones - whilst I was still honing my mixing skills) these are digitised versions of one take live vinyl mixes, originally recorded directly to cassette tapes (now very old and degraded)..in me bedroom.

Dedicated to the first love of my life and though life moves on, some things never change.

Before recording this mix it had been two years since I'd last uploaded a mix-tape and for good reason. 2015 for me was a year full of heaviness I’d rather forget and 2016 also brought forth its own challenges, so finding my mojo to record something fresh took awhile to happen.

Then 2017 brought with it a chance of new beginnings and with sunshine back in my heart and a positive mindset again permeating my soul, I finally felt ready to hit record on my latest jam session.

With my vibes high and having been gifted an afternoon off from life, I thought what better way to celebrate than with a mix of some Drum ’n’ Bass goodness. 

This mix went on a bit of a journey but does exactly what it says on the box but comes with one small disclaimer. It wouldn't be a DKuts mix without some tempo and genre changes so don't be surprised.

It's all systems go on the "Pimpology" front as The Beat-Pimp drops in with volume 27 of his awesome mix series exclusively for us! With a slightly darker feel to his new mix, his love for filthy Glitch Hop and Bass music is laid out for all to hear once again. Kicking things off with some heavy low tempo Glitch Hop, he takes things on a gradual rise and itches the tempo up every step of the way. Things hang around the trusty 110 area for a bit with more meaty Glitch and Ghetto Funk tunes present before the bpm is cranked up again and the transition to Bass House and Breaks takes place and things liven up towards a full-throttle ending.
