The classically trained flute player and progressive psytrance producer, Elaine Denise Round AKA Spinney Lainey is back with her second EP, bringing us two descriptive tracks with her signature expressive sound. Beautiful flute melodies sit side-by-side with intricate and interweaving melodies, emotionally-charged harmonic progressions and epic builds.

The EP consists of 'Road to Recovery' and 'Interdimensional Flying' - 

'Road to Recovery' tells a story of continued recovery from a long-term illness. The prevailing emotion in this is one of hope and faith.

'Interdimensional Flying' is inspired by the experience of astral projection.

Crystal Palace is the place in the city of London where Ekuneil and Spinney Lainey began a great friendship that shares ideas of classical music and psy-trance with American influences.

This track portrays Spinney Lainey's vision and determination to one day be free from her physical pain and illness. Her future self wrote the track, telling the story of a release from suffering. She keeps this vision with her always and is more and more free every day.

Spinney Lainey is Lainey Round from England, progressive psytrance producer and classically-trained flute player and performs her own music with live flute. Her passion for music began at the age of eight, when she began to learn the flute. She came into the world of psytrance production on a mission to express her own efforts to heal from many years of severe chronic illness, transcend suffering and heal spiritually. It is her passion to share her story with others and in doing so, intends through her music, to bring others the hope, light, love, healing and peace that she found, as well as making them dance and be free!

Having graduated with a Classical Music Degree back in 2001, she began composing, improvising, recording and performing music in a wide range of musical styles both with musicians in this country and abroad, forming various musical projects, bands and collaborations and working as a session musician.

During this time, Lainey developed her passion for psytrance and was first discovered after posting a video on Youtube of her busking on her flute to 'Basic' by Zyce at Piccadilly Circus (this can be found on her Youtube channel - link below). The video caused a sensation and went viral. After seeing this video, Zyce asked her to record a flute part for 'Basic' and a remix was made, which can be heard on her soundcloud page. She went on to work with Zyce on 5 tracks in total, including the EP, 'Fluting', which was number 1 on Beatport.

All of Spinney Lainey’s solo releases have performed extremely well and have all reached well into the top 10 in the Beatport charts with New Beginnings reaching no.1.
