He is known for his work as the music supervisor for former hit TV show BROAD CITY, his on-screen appearances on the Food Network and Vice News, as well as for releases on Wolf + Lamb, Kitsuné, Sorry Records, House of Feelings, and Toucan Sounds. Matt is also a co-founder of the pandemic pop-up test kitchen DUBPLATE.NYC, home of ‘the best fried chicken sandwich of all time.’

'The Marcy Mix is a mix inspired by a place as much as it is anything else: The Marcy North, a mythical Williamsburg loft that has occasionally played host to parties by the extended Crew Love Records family. The first time I visited the Marcy I immediately fell deeply in love with the people, energy, and vibe of the space, and for 6 long years I waited patiently for the perfect reason  to throw something there myself. This mix is a re-recording of the set I performed there at the 30th birthday edition of my 'Matt FX & Friends' party this past February 4th, alongside a lineup that included special guests Starchild & The New Romantic, Sunny Cheeba, and Thugfucker. To tell the truth, that party might have been one of the last to ever get thrown there, and for that opportunity I am forever grateful.'

Matt is currently spending the month of May eating and DJing his way through Mexico City and will be back stateside in June, with a slew of dates in the cal including a headlining spot in the loft at Elsewhere for Bubble_T's Pride takeover, a set in partnership with the Tribeca Film Festival at Baby's All Right, and the return of his and Veblen Defect's 'Big Bloops' party at Black Flamingo alongside Dio George and A La Agata of Acid Mama.”

He is well-known for his appearances on Food Network and VICE News Tonight, as well as his work as music supervisor for BROAD CITY. He has worked on releases for Wolf+Lamb, Disco Halal, Warner/Big Beat, Sorry Records, Kitsuné Musique, and House of Feelings, as well as compilation cuts for Somersault Records and Toucan Sounds. While all of us are living the quarantine life, Good Room has asked friends and residents to share mixes for our Solitude Series so you can dance on your own. The 25th mix comes from Matt FX. Matt FX is a DJ, producer, music supervisor, and emerging food personality. As a DJ, Matt approaches each and every set with an irreverence that the New York Times calls 'interesting social commentary on multiple levels'. As a music supervisor, he's the  man behind the soundtrack of the Comedy Central show BROAD CITY. As a producer, he just released his debut single Vaquero on Sorry Records. 100% of sales proceeds from Vaquero go to Crisis Text Line, a nonprofit organization offering free 24/7 mental health support. Here's what he had to say about the mix;

"This mix is a reflection on a trip I took to Mexico in early March right before the Covid-19 Lockdown began. On the very first night that I arrived I played a six hour all-night set at Departamento that is now one of my top 10 all-time DJ memories. Later in the trip I also had a profound experience in Tepotzlan that led me to produce Vaquero after returning to NYC. Good Room is without a doubt my favorite [legal] place to dance and DJ in New York - so grateful to be able to contribute to the solitude series!"
