Track Trivia:
--- I didn't really imagine an AU for this besides "King Sans".
--- The Bergentrückung motif at the beginning has no real significance, I just thought it'd be neat. The Heartache motif signifies the bond he has with Toriel. The Friendship motif signifies, well, friendship! It's also a little extra tidbit to show he doesn't want to fight, but feels obligated to. The Dating Start and Bonetrousle signify Snowdin as well as Papyrus. There's also Waterfall but that's kinda just in there for spice, for flavour.
--- The slower pace and less intense vibe are meant to symbolize his ambivalence to having to fight you. And I just think a more lax track works well for Sans.

Decidedly, Toriel takes the role of Papyrus. She's that type of grandma who makes a lot of cookies to make her grandchildren happy. The reason she looks so old is because her son Asriel is still alive and growing. Nevertheless, she is happier and is living the life she's always wanted! In a way, her character feels complete with a lot of development done in the background. Especially with the fact that she and Asgore have a healthier relationship here. 

Except the doctor's return kind of make her relive the old pain, especially after she finally remembers that he used to be her friend before everything went haywire.

The third song in The Old Switcheroo's "Merciless Run". Plays during your encounter with Sans. He's got a bit more energy to him, but also is entirely obligated to do this to begin with.

He'll try and trip you up by consistently switching SOUL modes on you. He also doesn't go down in one hit, considering you're significantly weaker here than where you'd fight him in Undertale, so don't think he's just a one-hit wonder.
