===== NOTES =====
Undyne is the Asriel replacement. After having spent years on a pseudo mental health retreat, doing the Underground equivalent of going out in the woods for a while, she's spent a lot of time training, becoming stronger, so that one day, when she returns and takes her rightful place as empress -- until the young prince is old enough to take over -- she can wipe the smirk off any human that comes her way.

Chara’s SOUL gets ripped straight out of their body, leaving them incapacitated, and it gets absorbed into Undyne, making her even stronger than before. The intensity of Undyne taking another, stronger form knocks the wind out of Frisk. Undyne's long lost sight on her goals, the power getting to her head much like it would've done even any relatively stable person (or monster), and she's out for Frisk's SOUL, too.

But just before Undyne can take it, the monsters that were previously knocked out from the shockwave caused by Undyne initially absorbing the other six SOULs finally awake and protect Frisk and their SOUL.
