Greek techno titan Spiros Kaloumenos steps up to !Organism with a couple of essential new tracks, and the fine Swiss label bolster the package with a remix from Ixel. 

From Awakenings to Techno Flash, Kaloumenos has headlined the major tech events of the world. Mixing up crowd pleasing sounds with fresh new techno he runs his own label, Focus Records, and relates on many others from Phobiq to Planet Rhythm. With a dark, pumping and forward thinking sound, he has worked with The Advent and Cari Lekebusch before now, always impressing with each new EP. 

Right off the bat he has your attention with the hypnotic, tunnelling techno might of "Solid Emotion." With frenzied synth loops and sonar like bleeps its a real head wrecker designed for the dead of night. Berlin based Ixel of Wall Music and Kaputt then adds his own spin to "Solid Emotion." In turn he makes it a more rubbery, loose limbed jam that is deep, supple and spaced out and is full of stylish production. 

Last but not least, "Agony Of Indecision" is a high pressure affair with industrial synths cutting up a stomping groove. Some futuristic pads add a warm sense of soul and colour and ensure both hearts and heels will be won over by this one. 

All three cuts offering something different but all are equally interesting and striking affairs once again from this Swiss powerhouse.

This week´s AMFM is another CLR Podcast special edition, this time from myself, as I am releasing the 100th release of my label CLR. It is called “Time’s Up EP” and contains two originals by myself and a fantastic moody emotional remix by the one and only Ralf Hildenbeutel, the man with whom I did both albums “Burn Slow” and “Another Day” for the legendary Mute label. So this release goes full circle for me. No better way than to celebrate this release with a CLR Podcast that I recorded at the Coachella festival, which happened in California in April. It was the second time after 2018 that I got to play in the Yuma tent of that fantastic festival. This tent is run by the crew of the Sound Nightclub in Hollywood and has an insane line up and production. I am definitely happy to be a part of that again. The mix contains quite a few unreleased bits from my label, of course all three tracks of the CLR 100 release, as well as great promos from others and I start it off with my latest club remix for my “Another Day“ album track “Cause & Effect” that will be soon out on Mute. It is a 90 minute set, so for those who only get to hear the 60 min “radio version”, please go over to Mixcloud Select, find my channel and listen to the whole set without my voice overs and downloadable on your phone.
