Biography:
Deep and dub techno producer from Krasnoyarsk, Russia. He is one of the founders of the Techenie label. The Radio Badjay project appeared in 2021. Radio Badjay is Ivan Luchkin. Ivan has been making electronic music since the early 2000s. He has dozens of released releases, many remixes and music productions created for hip-hop artists. Today, Ivan has left everything that was done previously. Today he is exclusively on the wave of Radio Badjay.

Fresh music from Ivan has recently been released on the label [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] as a brand new track "Siberian Pygocentrus" in the compilation dedicated to the label's birthday, a mix of one of the parts we offer you to listen to performed by Radio Badjay. Stay tuned!

Echosplet - Scream (VIP Dub)

Oh, hello there and welcome to another hour long delve into my music collection of industrial ditties and synthy songs both old and new.
One of my highlights in this show is the Aboriginal Voices track, whose LP I picked up at PLATTFON Records, Basel (a bloody good record shop and one of my favourites, visit it if you get a chance). Other higlights are Section 25, who must be the best band from Blackpool and Caroline K who was part of Nocturnal Emissions.

Welcome to another Industrial Sunshine Hour. This time round I play one of my favourite Nurse With Wound tracks, the classic Split Second “Flesh” tune but at the New Beat speed of 33rpm +8, and a very very early Human League song.     
       
I recently discovered from the new Kicking Dust compilation that Clock DVA’s Sound Mirror track was popular in the GOA Trance scene so that was a good excuse to dig out my old 12” copy. 

Later on you can hear Tristwch Y Fenywod, whose 2024 LP on the Night School label was a highlight of my year. I’ve also managed to sneak in a Prince track, an Italo Disco tune that DJ Mag once called ‘industrial’ and ending it all with a 10 minute COIL remix of a 1994 SCORN classic.


Industrial Sunshine Hour 14/03/25

White Lotus Dub

Wow it’s May already! Time for another Industrial Sunshine Hour radio show and this one features my fave Cabaret Voltaire track, which I picked up on 7” from the long gone Wax Museum in Bradford. I have huge soft spot for Patrick Cowley who is famous for creating hi-NRG, but also created a huge variety of other styles of music, like the Thief of Love song, which I think features his vocals. The 400 blows track I play is off one of the Funky Alternatives compilation LPs which are a bargain and full of GOLD. Go look them up on Discogs. It all ends with the lovely Einstürzende Neubauten – Yü-Gung (Adrian Sherwood Mix). This episode was recorded at Woody’s and you can tell if he likes a track because you can hear him setting off his dub siren.

Industrial Sunshine Hour 09/05/25

This show goes out to the DJ and producer JD Twitch. He is a cultural force, an icon who has had a huge impact on many people, and is a champion of industrial and cold wave music. He has released many great compilation LPs, including ‘So Low’ and ‘Polyphonic Cosmos: Sonic Innovations In Japan (1980-1986)’ and I feature Throbbing Gristle - ‘Discipline’ and Normal Brain – ‘M.U.S.I.C.’, from these albums, on this episode.

I was sadden to hear the news that he has recently been diagnosed with an untreatable brain tumour. There is more information about his situation on his website. Love to you and your family.

Splet is where perpetual exploration around the deep potential of ‘Drums’ and ‘Bass’ inevitably led to the coalescence of the complex, multi-layered rhythms of Reggae and the evocative soundscapes of Dub with a myriad of influences spanning Industrial and Techno to cinematic Sound Design.

Echosplet is an alter-ego to Splet, exploring more Techno soundscapes but still with its foundations in Dub. Concentrating more on the sounds you discover when you subtract the riddim from the music, letting the atmosphere seethe, pulse, and ooze out from the chasm left behind.
