Live on WAAF, Bay State Rock show with Carmelita, 12/15/13. Recorded in mono; processed and mastered by Jeff Allison. We were plugging our NYE gig at Atwood's, which would mark our shift from Wednesdays to Saturdays on the club's weekly schedule. Jeff Allison joins Dana, Jerome and Jeremy (note his masterful triangle on this track)for the radio show and the gig. I believe this may have been when we first announced our name change to Vapors of Morphine.

Koelkast

Op zoek naar de stilte maar ik vind enkel koelkast
het koelkastgekreun in mijn oor als een last
ik durf niet naar buiten, ik blijf achter ruiten
ik blijf wel mooi binnen en tuur door vuil glas

met een 5 voor attitude , een lijfstraf voor gedrag
ze kunnen wel even wachten, je gaat wel overstag
acht de generatie onschuldig aant bedrog
met apestaart en spatie

ik schuil in computer en toeter na toeter
niets boeit mij qua voedsel, niets boeit qua zon
ik begraaf mij in verhalen die ik niet zelf verzon
het beeld van mezelf wordt nu minder en minder

Dokter, dokter, ik heb een groot probleem.
Het is geen griep, verkoudheid, schimmel of eczeem.
Ik ben hier niet echt voor mezelf. Dat klinkt wel als een kind.
Maar ikzelf heb geen problemen, ik ben hier voor een vriend.

Ik kan er niet meer tegen, ik ben nooit meer alleen. 
't Is alles behalve een zegen, mijn vriend is schizofreen!

Daarnet nog in de wachtzaal, daar kwam een oude vrouw,
net toen zij zich wou plaatsen, zette hij zich gauw.
Ik riep naar hem, "wat doe jij nu, dat vind ik toch een beetje cru”?!
Hij zei " 't kan me niet veel schelen, ik zit zo graag naast jou"!

Ik kan er niet meer tegen, ik ben nooit meer alleen. 
't Is alles behalve een zegen, mijn vriend is schizofreen!

Hij beeld zich steeds weer in dat ik hem vergezel.
Het zijn rusteloze dagen, echt waar, het is een hel...

The two authorized recordings presented here vividly conjure up the atmosphere, perhaps even the magic, of a Cluster performance back in the day. One took place in 1977 during a science fiction festival in Metz (France). The other dates back to an earlier show in Hamburg’s Fabrik venue. The sound quality of these two documents is average. A successful performance was considered more important than a perfect recording thereof. We as listeners should accept that today. Our reward is a short journey into the nascent heart of Cluster’s creative universe, just after the big bang. Out May 19, 2017. LP / CD / digital

First collaboration of multifaceted electronic artists MONOLOG (“an impressively detailed assault on the senses” TEXTURA) and SUBHEIM (“Sometimes gloomy, and sometimes lush, but always sweeping and atmospheric” INTRO).

With ‘Conviction’, Monolog and Subheim merge two worlds together by using the same creative triggers: Berlin's night sky, the urban scenery, faces and places, action and reaction, the calm before the storm as well as the storm itself.

Monolog brings structure with with his unique, unforgiving drum rhythms and heavy basslines while Subheim contributes fragile melodic undertones and lush ambiences to the whole.

’Conviction’ is intentionally imperfect. It symbolizes the acceptance of its creators’ very human nature: sometimes relentless and sometimes serene, a calm force that thrusts them forward like sea waves in winter. ‘Conviction’ is dark and heavy yet full of light and hope, expressing the closing of important chapters and the beginning of new ones.
