Splinter grew up listening to a large variety of music.
Motown, 80's Pop, Reggae, Classical, R&B, Rock&Roll would be common whilst Jazz played a dominant factor as his father was one of Holland's most revered Jazz journalists. 
In the late 80's and early 90's his interest for electronic music such as Acid House, Trance, Happy Hardcore and other variants inevitably followed swift. 
Music production (introduced in the early college years) started with old-school MS-DOS based trackers such as ScreamTracker3 and FastTracker2 and the love for creating electronic music started to flourish over the years.
Once introduced to Moving Shadow's BluePrint album and Dom&Roland's Industry album it was a done deal and he answered the call to Jungle and Drum&Bass.
Over the years Splinter has proven to be willing to experiment with a wide variety of styles, from Intelligent to Techstep to Neuro to Amenism and Post-Modern Jungle as part of the Dam Nation collective under the Eastern Promise Audio label that was started with his college friends Grits, Phuture-T, Drome and the late Logikz from Sweden.
When Splinter moved to the UK in 2015 he started to produce on a more serious level and quickly came up with with releases on various labels such as Ballpark Recordings, Metius Music, Hangry Records, Danger Chamber, Foot Long Records and others.
He is currently working in the studio to get a number of EP's out on different labels to further spread his love for Drum&Bass. Stay tuned!
