01 Moondance

The Splinters Ensemble are a contemporary music collective based in Widnes and drawing young performers from around the local area.

With two separate guises the groups many personalties are allowed freedom to evolve  - from the fun, lively and exuberant 'Street Band' to the dark, witty and progressive 'Splinters Ensemble', their flexibility and passion for music cannot help but strike anyone who encounters the group.

Already in their short history they have been an American style 'Marching Band' in their debut performance at Wembley Arena - to a 'pit orchestra' in a ballet production at a theatre.  Throw in concert and festival performances in between as the 'Street Band' and there really is no style off-limits to this group of musicians.
