Splitloop were an Irish Breakbeat duo, Phil Byrne and Ben Crowe. They toured the world and released 2 critically acclaimed studio albums, one back in 2005 on Krafty Kuts old label Against The Grain called "Here On Business" and another in 2008 again on Krafty's old label called "Pleasure Machine" plus a whole bunch of singles. The height of their success was really back in 2008 when they toured the world and made it into Australia's Triple J Radio studios where thet recorded this mix.

Back in May, seminal group Orbital announced the release of their upcoming album 'Monsters Exist', marking the first since the duo split in 2012 and also the first original body of work in six years. Politically-charged and fiery from the get-go, the brothers have re-examined their own original 'P.H.U.K.' and revamped the track with extra, darker production and a mix from Steve Dub for the newly presented 'P.H.U.K.U.'. It's out officially on August 17.

i done a fing. It's not so much a track as a brief experiment in the capabilities of my new system, which is why the track doesn't really go anywhere. I was refining my presets and  just thought i should probably press record. My new gear, built in C++ by Dave Gamble of DMG Audio, and furnished with 15 instances of Sugarbytes' Turnado is the most streamlined music creation tool ever designed. This track has not been edited and took just 5 minutes to make.

Having separated amicably from Krafty Kuts' Against The Grain label last year (they're still on good terms; Krafty got to keep Skool Of Thought, but Splitloop get to visit him on weekends and holidays) Splitloop launched their own Toastclub imprint to much fanfaring and free downloading.
