Inspired by Bruce's struggle with hearing loss, Monophonic takes the listener on an emotional roller coaster. In 2005, doctors discovered a destructive cyst called a cholesteatoma growing inside Bruce's left ear. After surgical removal of the cyst and reconstruction of his ear, he was left with severe hearing loss, tinnitus, and reoccurring ear pain. These emotional experiences were translated into the music and artwork that make up Monophonic.

With mixing and mastering by Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna, Pg.lost), the five track EP is dark, melodic and explosive, taking musical inspiration from bands like Explosions in the Sky and Russian Circles, to those outside of the post-rock genre such as Pink Floyd and The Cure.

SPOIWO has been created in 2009 and consists of four friends. From that moment on it developes its characteristic sound which is based on melancholy drifting along with elements of madness and sadness exploding together in a joyful manner. SPOIWO is often settled between cinematic, postrock and electronic music. Debut album Salute Solitude released in 2015 received great fan- and media response, being “one of the best polish post-rock albums” and placing SPOIWO among the best polish alternative bands. In 2012 SPOIWO released a music video for the song SKIN directed by Kristof Brandl (who also made music videos for SKRILLEX and JACK WHITE) and it captured the band DNA right away.
