My next guest on Yax Invites is Berlin based artist Nona, who is the co-founder and resident at https://soundcloud.com/re_flect, and is widely known for mixing fast paced techno with elements of hypnotic sounds and pulsating grooves in his sets.

Here's what Nona had to say about the mix:

Since there are no limits to the length of the sets in this wonderful mix series and extended mixes are appreciated, I took this opportunity to record the longest mix ever published by me. Instead of the usual 3 players, this time I played with four and did even more layering and blending of several tracks than normally. 

Because I wanted to tell a kind of developing story, I started fast yet slower than usual and reached my habitual tempo just after 1.5 hours. In addition, this mix contains a track selection that differs more or less clearly from my previous mixes. The focus here lays on a variety of deep, bleeping and hypnotic sounds, atmospheric tracks as well as strongly raw & percussive, driving & minimalist rhythms. Every now and then even a trance or electro gem stands out. The result is a great variety of sounds and rhythms which is almost hardly remarkable due to the length of the mix. 

On top of that, this mix is the first one ever that contains a production of my own! Enjoy!

This weeks podcast will be provided by the German artist Invexis. Georg Köhler, Invexis’ real name, made name for himself back in the early 00’s. Inspired by artists such as Jeff Mills and The Prodigy, Invexis formed a sound of his own and created timeless pieces, with hardware only, that were released on labels such as Planet Rhythm and Kazumi (where he released his iconic ‘Elektronenwind’ track, which has been reissued on SHDW & Obscure Shape’s ‘Mutual Rhythm’ earlier this year).

Up next for our series, we have Romens Dawn, a DJ and producer based in Amsterdam. He describes his sound as a reflection of his own personality, showcasing a variety of sounds in his tracks. From dark undertones to playful grooves and trancey textures, Romens Dawn's music aims to make people dance regardless of their culture or background.

Recently, he has been steadily releasing music with hypnotizing sequences and powerful rhythms. In addition to his own releases, he has performed at various venues and events, including Club BASIS, Radion, Intercell's recent Indoor Festival Weekender, Garage Noord, and even made his debut in Belgium.

For the mix he recorded for us, he has provided a blend of fast-paced rhythms with a minimal and tribal approach, creating an overall sonic experience.
