Arguing that it's about time for Stefan Vincent to step into the limelight is an understatement. After all, when you can count the heads of some of the world's finest labels (think Token, Non Series, and Dynamic Reflection), and have the likes of Laurent Garnier and Jeff Mills among your fans, you're obviously doing something right. This relative anonymity isn't something that troubles the Amsterdam-based producer, DJ, and live act, though. More than willing to invest time in his art, Stefan literally lives in his studio and is in no hurry whatsoever.

Unlike many, Stefan's path didn't take him from playing records to making them. Instead, after discovering the work of inspirational figures like Steve Rachmad, Surgeon, and Jeff Mills, Stefan immediately set to work on his own creative projects. Whether he's playing a DJ set or cooking up an expressive live set, Stefan always translates his singularly deep, rich, and driving sound into the club environment. With a solid catalog of techno releases under his belt, he continues to win over the hearts and dancing feet of audiences across the planet.

Giulia Fournier-Mercadante (GiGi FM) is a multi-disciplinary artist, DJ, resident of NTS Radio, dancer and music producer. Boldly versatile, GiGi FM’s selections have charmed bodies on dancefloors all across the world, such as Berghain, Rural Japan, Draaimolen, Fabric, De School, Primavera, The Bunker New York, and Sustain Release. In the booth her genre-defying spirit is in full effect with techno, bass, breaks and ambient all coming in to play.

Deeply influenced by astrology, philosophy and the cosmos; for GiGi, music is both a tool for expression and introspection. As a multi- hyphenate artist, she continues on her quest to push artistic boundaries and hold space for unique audience experiences. Whatever medium she may adopt, the result is a rich embodiment of the interconnectedness of sound, colour, movement and metaphysics.

MNMT 410 : GiGi FM

This next guest has been a loyal contributor to Oslo’s cultural landscape for some years now, and moulded it to his own imagining. Marius Bø is one half of Accelerationism and cofounder of the UTE collective, whose name has become synonymous with surreptitious forest raves and a label of the same name (UTE.REC), publisher to fellow purveyors of contemporary psychedelic trance like Oprofessionell (UTE’s second mastermind) and Alpha Tracks. Creeping out of the Scandinavian forests that have played host to those painstakingly curated gatherings comes a fearsome sound distinctly his own. His work dovetails futuristic soundscapes and old-school acid distortions to mind altering effect, and posits this guttural psychedelic techno as a result. It’s a trance-permeated amalgam that’s gaining traction everywhere from Basel's Elyisa to Taipei’s Pawnshop and a raft of other venues in any city worth its salt. Bassiani Podcast 204 is an atmospheric two-hour blend of vast and trippy beats, primordial techno with woodland roots, where Marius dives into the deeper facets of his collection.

JakoJako (@jakojako_live) always wanted to make music and her self-confessed hyperactivity ultimately led to her getting the most joy out of playing about with machines and patching up synths. These days the Berghain resident is a celebrated live act and DJ who draws on the considerable knowledge she picked up working at Berlin's legendary synth shop SchneidersLaden, but she has also worked on several high-profile motion sensor dance projects at places like The Royal Albert Hall. Her smart sound designs and unique rhythms have landed on Leisure System, Tresor and Figure and she has a new EP coming on Mute this June.

Her mix for us this week features a sneak preview of one of the tracks from that EP as well as mixing up music from Alaric, Siege, Altinbas and many more. It's full of high-speed sounds couched loosely in techno but with moods and textures borrowed from industrial, minimal and even trance as things reach an emotional peak late on. Though she broke through as a live act, this set shows JakoJako can now speak just as freely through the decks.
