This wonky piano was a delight stumbled across in Alnwick, after sharing an indelible morning breakfast with Damari, a nearly 70 year old artist and antique restorer whom shared life experiences and advice over buttered toast and bacon.

Alnwick Inspirations

Reflecting on the randomness of serendipitous friendship. I was stuck over a rainy night in Schipol due to cancelled flights and tried to find relaxing things to do. I met Roger and we played an impromptu jazz duet, and made friends with Karen, whom worked in biotech research. 

Transience

This was the first time I performed live with an intentional audience in over 2 decades?! I remember feeling so nervous as though my stomach was going to leave my body and hit the ground... but I am grateful to have had that experience and to encounter a new family of piano enthusiasts. Ersatz

In April 2020, in the midst of the first lockdowns, with the world shutting down, I was hit by an immense sense of calm and ease, that things will be, will be. This floaty fleeting cognizant idea surfaced at that time.

Fleetingly

Nestled amongst the rubble of antiques under the arches on the shore front of Ramsgate was this half forgotten Bechstein, with most of its middle keys unusable. I tried to make the most of the situation and found a stormy tune

Most of my stuff is imperfect, improvised, on the spot, spur of the moment expression.
